Before you open your inbox.

Selah.

Before you open the next message, let this one ask a little less of you.

You do not need to solve your whole business this morning. You can begin by deciding what deserves your attention.

That is the invitation behind The Monday Letter: one ancient word, one practical step, a little room to hear yourself think.

Selah appears in the Psalms, though its original function is uncertain. Here at Sellah, we take it as an invitation to pause. A place to notice what we are carrying before we carry it into another week.

Perhaps faith feels familiar to you. Perhaps you are finding your way back to it, or your questions are bigger than your certainty. There is room for you here.

For today, leave the long list where it is.

ONE MOVE FOR THIS WEEK

Finish this sentence:

"By Friday, the one thing I most want to move forward is ______."

Make the answer something you can act on. "Feel less overwhelmed" might become "send the proposal I have been avoiding." "Grow the business" might become "invite one potential client to a conversation."

Then give that action a place on your calendar. Choose a window you can realistically protect, even if it is small.

Your other responsibilities still matter. This simply gives one important thing a place among them.

Before you move on, take one easy breath, without changing or forcing it.
